Youth & Family Programs Volunteer
Youth & Family Programs volunteers support weekend workshops for teens and families, school-base programming, and/or lead tours for youth and families.
What's expected of a Youth & Family volunteer?
Volunteers assist the SAF Program Manager with general program assistance, including supporting youth with design and building projects, as well as set-up and clean-up. Most programs run on Saturdays. Youth tour guides will need to be available on weekdays.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Experience working with youth
- Interest or expertise in architecture, design, and/or urban planning
- Demonstrate good humor and respect when interacting with youth
- Be reliable—our programs depend on volunteers to make them successful!
Steps to becoming a Youth & Family Programs volunteer:
- Schedule a 30-minute introductory call with our Program Manager, Gwen Lennox
- Complete a background check and 1-hour online child safety training module
