Events

The Seattle Architecture Foundation produces a number of public programs each year including talks, workshops, and special events that connect the public to the built environment.

Whether your passion is exploring the latest architectural trends in Seattle or celebrating Seattle’s architectural heritage, we’ve got you covered.

Design Soirée

Design Soirée is a series of exclusive design-oriented events intended to cultivate a greater understanding and appreciation of how design enriches our lives. All Design Soirée activities are intended to raise funds for other SAF programming and are curated and presented by generous hosts — architects, engineers, contractors, and artists who volunteer their time and expertise.

All funds raised through Design Soirée support the various programs offered by SAF including: exhibits, tours, talks, and youth programs. SAF reaches more than 6,000 people a year through its events and outreach activities.

Community Programs

SAF partners with local architects, historians, and community groups to provide engaging programs exploring design, history, urban planning, and neighborhoods. Past partners include The Black Heritage Society of WA State, Jackie Peterson | Exhibit Services, Converge Media, David B. Williams (Geology), Lawrence Kreisman (Architectural Historian), and local architects.

Programs stimulate design dialogue, engage the public around Center for Architecture and Design exhibits, and explore how contemporary design issues impact you and your community.
