Help Tell Seattle’s Story – Become a Volunteer Tour Guide
Every building, neighborhood, and public space has a story. Help us bring those stories to life! The Seattle Architecture Foundation is preparing to welcome a new class of volunteer tour guides in 2027, and we’re looking for curious, enthusiastic people who love exploring the city and connecting with others.
A Meaningful Way to Get Involved
As a volunteer tour guide, you’ll share Seattle’s architectural history, design, and stories with locals and visitors alike. It’s a chance to deepen your own knowledge, meet new people, and be part of a community that values our built environment.
Explore — Gain a deeper understanding of Seattle’s architecture, history, and urban development.
Connect — Join a welcoming community of fellow guides, architects, historians, and design enthusiasts.
Make an Impact — Help others see Seattle in new ways and appreciate the places we share.
The 2027 Tour Guide Training Program
Our next tour guide training class will take place in March 2027. Training will offer opportunities to learn from experienced guides, explore the city, and build the skills to share Seattle’s stories with confidence. You don’t need to be an architect or historian—just bring your curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.
