Modern Beauty and the Pedestrian Experience

The age-old “less is more” seems to have lost its grip on the current generation of architects. On this tour of Denny Triangle and South Lake Union you’ll see a new batch of contemporary work that re-engages the notion of beauty, reconnects with landscaping, and puts more focus on ground-level architectural detail where we experience our urban environments up close. There are even a few moments where the Pacific Northwest Style edges out the more common International Style, creating a local identity within one of the largest live-work neighborhoods in the country. Join us and see what we mean!

This tour starts at McGraw Square at Westlake/Stewart and 5th Ave (the streetcar stop) and ends at the Amazon Spheres.

Please note: the interior of the Amazon Spheres is not included in this tour. The Spheres are open to the public on the first and third Saturdays of the month from 10:00AM to 6:00PM. To make a free reservation, click here.
