About the Theme: EMERGENCE

How do external forces—social, political, and environmental—give rise to new designs? EMERGENCE showcases the dynamic processes that bring architecture to life.

From the organic growth of neighborhoods and the evolution of sustainable materials to the adaptive reuse of historic structures, the exhibit utilizes physical and digital models, renderings, and multimedia displays to reveal how design shapes our everyday lives and invites the public to engage with the language of architecture.

“We received an outstanding collection of entries and are confident the public will be captivated by the creativity and craftsmanship on display.” — Dena Yamaguchi, SAF Board Member & Associate Principal, Arcadis
