Celebrating a Century of Suffrage
Join the Museum of History and Industry and the Seattle Architecture Foundation as we explore Seattle's role in Washington's equal suffrage campaign - a movement as old as the city itself. While walking the streets of Pioneer Square, become aquainted with early Seattleites and their efforts to give women a political voice; efforts that culminated in the passage of female suffrage in Washington State in November 1910.
This tour is given in conjunction with MOHAI's exhibit Women's Votes, Women's Voices opening in July.
Seattle's Herstory: Celebrating a Century of Suffrage lasts approximately two hours. It begins in front of the Seattle Justice Center located at 600 Fifth Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104. Advance registration is strongly encouraged; day-of registrations are limited to space available. Tour is $10 for MOHAI members/$15 for others.
Upcoming Tour Dates:
2010: Thursday 8/19 6pm and 6:30pm, 9/16 6-8 pm Sunday 9/19 10 am - 12 pm
